As a St. Louis native with German ancestry and a love for languages, I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in German. The first year of the Master’s program was spent in beautiful Salzburg, Austria, where I soon fell in love with the country and its culture. After graduating with my MA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, I was accepted to the Austrian Fulbright program, and back to Salzburg it was. The next three years were spent teaching English and translating German in Austria, which was an experience I’ll never forget. In 2014, I moved back to the States with my Austrian husband, and, although we are now in America, German is still the main language spoken in our home. As a German-English translator with a focus on genealogy, I truly enjoy my work.
